Top 10 Most Comfortable Men’s Trunk Style Underwear
Trunks are an increasingly popular style of underwear that is a combination of brief and boxer. They take the best features of both styles and combine them into the perfect underwear, that provides support and a great fit for most men.
Trunks give a little more coverage than a brief, without the excess fabric that can cause problems with boxer brief styles. They have a shorter leg than a traditional boxer brief and usually don’t have a functional fly. You can get styles that use high-quality, moisture-wicking fabrics that are luxurious, light, and look great.
If you love the fit of a boxer but need the support of a brief, you should check out some of the latest styles. The following are a roundup of the most popular, comfortable, and best-reviewed men’s trunks:
SAXX Underwear is one of the fastest-growing men’s underwear companies in North America due to the popularity of their BallPark Pouch™ technology that uses a 3D hammock-shaped pouch that keeps everything where it should be. If you have trouble with friction or chafing, this could very well be the best option for you. Their trunk style is the same as their super popular boxer briefs, just with a 3″ inseam, rather than 5″ seam. SAXX underwear comes in tonnes of fun prints and patterns, and are made from breathable fabrics that can wick moisture. The other cool thing to keep in mind is that SAXX has a 100% satisfaction guaranteed, so if you don’t like them you can send them back within 30 days and have your money refunded.

Calvin Klein has many styles to choose from, first up is the Calvin Klein Men’s Body Modal Trunks. CK are superstars at making men’s underwear, so it is no surprise that their trunks are one of the best options going. This super popular style is regarded as one of the most comfortable men’s trunk underwear for everyday wear, mainly due to the super-soft modal fabric that is used.
Modal can be a little delicate, but this style manages to be soft yet still firm and supportive enough to keep everything in place. If you love a tight fit, this probably isn’t the style for you, as it is much more for those who want a comfortable fit. Like other Calvin Klein underwear, this modal option is a little pricey, but a lot of men find the cost is worth it for the comfort, fit, and quality you are getting.

Another popular Calvin Klein option is The Calvin Klein Steel Micro Low Rise Trunks. Men love this slightly more snug design that has a tighter fit around the waist and more support in the pouch area compared to the CK modal style above. The Steel Micro is a low-rise style, and it has the wide logo waistband that is in a kind of metallic fabric, which is super soft, and that will stay flat and not roll-up.
As any good underwear should have, there are no tags on this style. The fabric is pretty thick, yet soft, and it can hold its shape for the entire time that you wear it without any sagging issues. Since they are trunks, they have the shorter legs and won’t ride up or pinch the leg. They should also hold up well to washing and wear as long as you following the washing instructions. One other thing to note about this style is that they are great for moisture-wicking, although probably not the best option if you are working out. Overall they are known for being incredibly soft, comfortable, and supportive underwear that’ll fit well in almost any style of pants.

The Tommy John Trunks are a little longer in the leg than other options. Usually, the inseam is around 2.5-3 inches, and it is 4 inches on this style. The regular Tommy John boxer briefs have a reasonably long inseam, so I guess this is quite short for them. This design also has a functional fly, which is a little usual for a trunk.
Tommy John fans love the comfortable feel and fit of this underwear. They are known for staying in place and are good enough quality that you should get a lot of use out of them. They do tend to be a bit pricey, but if you don’t mind investing in your underwear, they may be the way to go. For me the most comfortable are Croota low rise hipsters. 3″ inseam and soft cotton. They call them 2nd skin and they fit close and don’t feel like you have another pair of pants on. They sit lower than your pants belt line so you don’t look like a Hip Hop artist from the 90s either. This was my step away from years of bikini ones to ones with some leg on them. They feel the same to me. They are from Australia, but you can get them on their CA ebay store.
